"Charity must never look back, but always ahead, for the number of its past benefits is always quite small, as the present and future miseries it should alleviate are infinite." Frederick Ozanam St. Vincent de

Helping Our Neighbors in Need

Port St. Vincent de Paul

Port St. Vincent has existed since 1976. It functions as a "port in the storm of life" for low income men.

Three nourishing meals a day are served. Hot showers, clean linen, and a free washer and dryer for clothes are provided. A staff member is on duty 24 hours a day. Some men need emergency shelter and stay less than a week. Some need to save enough money in order to move into their own apartment. They stay less than four months. Some men are not able to live entirely independently. They view the Port as their home.

The Port strives to treat each man with respect and as a unique individual. There are several volunteer opportunities. Please contact the director to see how you can be part of the Port's ministry.
