St. Vincent de
Paul annually provides hundreds of needy people in Madison and its
surrounding communities with good quality recycled and new bedding.
Working with area churches, the four ShopKo Stores in Madison, WISC-TV3, WTDY-1670AM, WTUX-1550AM,
The Lake 93.1FM, LaMovida-1480AM, and MY Madison-TV14,
we ask people to bring their reusable or new bedding to one of the areas ShopKo Stores or one of the
participating churches listed below. ShopKo Stores
have also been generous enough to make new blankets available for
purchase at a deeply discounted price. WTDY will be
broadcasting live on Friday Jan. 25th from the west side ShopKo
location.
 All the bedding we collect or purchase during this drive will then be
given away during the next twelve months to needy individuals and
families who come to our Service Center on Culmen Street asking help
from the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
Another way to help is to contribute toward the purchase of
additional bedding (new sheets, pillows, and mattress covers) to meet
the requests we receive. Last year we raised over $5,000 from
people in church communities and area businesses.
If your church or organization is not listed below
but you would like to participate, please give us a call at 278-2920 and
we would be happy to provide bins for blanket collection, posters or any
other supplies you may need. Thank you all for your help!
